Welcome to 'The Band of Brothers'

'Band of Brothers' is a grassroots, peer-to-peer supportive community, set-up by local men - for local men, operating throughout the London Boroughs of Sutton, Merton and Croydon.

Creating a free, safe and supportive space - where men can come together to share experiences, challenges and victories in life, we welcome those who want to talk, listen or be around others who understand. Our mission is simply to end the high male suicide rates and break the stigma around men talking about their emotions.

Our free events have lots of men of all ages, physical abilities, religious and cultural backgrounds, from varied occupations; we welcome everyone to join. There's no pressure, no judgement and no expectation. Simply, one conversation could save a life!

Too often, men are told to "man-up" and there's a stigma about talking about their emotions - but talking, sharing and reaching out isn't weakness - it's actually strength! Mental Health is indiscriminate, so if you're struggling with isolation, addiction, depression, grief, bereavement, anxiety, PTSD or needing social support, we're here for you.

Come to your local community group, join in and see how the power of a Brotherhood, a hot cuppa and some banter and conversation with other men, can help you, too!

See more from our Member Events:

Taken in April 2025, from our 'Carshalton Beeches chapter'.

40% of men have never spoken to anyone about their mental health. 29% of those say they are "too embarrassed" to speak about it, while 20% say there is a "negative stigma" on the issue.
