Purpose
The purpose of this policy is to:
• Ensure equality of opportunity for all staff, volunteers, members and participants;
• Eliminate discrimination, harassment, and victimisation;
• Promote an inclusive environment that recognises and values difference;
• Embed diversity and inclusion in all aspects of our work, partnerships, and decision-making.
Scope
This policy applies to:
• All employees, directors and volunteers of ‘Band of Brothers CIC';
• All participants, service users, contractors and partner organisations;
• All activities, programmes and communications conducted by or on behalf of ‘Band of Brothers CIC’.

To put this policy into practice, 'Band of Brothers CIC' will:
• Integrate EDI principles into recruitment, training, and decision-making;
• Provide guidance and awareness training for staff and volunteers;
• Regularly review policies and practices to ensure accessibility and fairness;
• Work collaboratively with partners who share our values of equality and respect;
• Actively challenge discriminatory behaviour, language, or practices.
Responsibilities
Directors are responsible for ensuring that this policy is implemented and reviewed
regularly.
Staff and Volunteers must act in accordance with the policy and promote a respectful,
inclusive environment.
Participants and Partners are expected to support our EDI values and contribute to a
positive, welcoming atmosphere.
Reporting and Complaints
‘Band of Brothers CIC’ takes any breaches of this policy seriously.
Anyone who experiences or witnesses discrimination, harassment or exclusion should
report it to a Director or ‘Designated Safeguarding Lead’.
Reports will be handled promptly, confidentially and sensitively.
Monitoring and Review
We will:
• Monitor participation and representation in our programmes;
• Seek feedback from members, partners, and participants;
• Review this policy annually to ensure it remains effective and relevant;
